A dream that making games is creative, that making games is collaborative. But more than anything that making games is fun and meaningful. Nyamyam was formed to fulfill this dream. With love and attention we strive to create beautifully crafted games. Games that not only express who we are as individuals, but also bring a little magic into other people’s lives.


Nyamyam was founded in late 2010 by Phil Tossell and Jennifer Schneidereit. Nyamyam is an independent game developer, meaning that we are completely self funded.

Ryo Agarie

Ryo Agarie Ryo was born in Nagoya, Japan. For most of his early life creating games wasn’t something that he imagined he would end up doing. His impulsive streak and love of art led him to move abroad, first to Australia, and then to the UK in 1997. In the UK he studied product design at Cavendish College in London before going on to become an artist at Rare working on Perfect Dark Zero. Ryo’s ability to constantly reinvent his style and create unique artistic visions led to him being promoted to Lead Artist on the XBOX 360 Avatars and then to Art Director of the internal incubation team. In early 2011 he left Rare to join Phil and Jennifer at Nyamyam.

Jennifer Schneidereit

Jennifer SchneidereitBorn and raised in Germany, Jennifer fell in love with video games at an early age when playing Pac-Man at a friend’s house. After graduating from university with a degree in Computer Science, Jennifer started her career at Acquire, an independent Japanese game developer in Tokyo. During her time at Acquire she worked on Shinobido: Way of the Ninja (PSP) and Way of the Samurai 3 (PS3/XBOX360). She initially began as a software engineer, but gradually moved towards game design. In 2009 Jennifer relocated to the UK, to work at Rare on the BAFTA award winning Kinect launch title: Kinect Sports. In late 2010 she and Phil founded Nyamyam.

Phil Tossell

Phil TossellPhil began making games with legendary game developer Rare directly after graduating from University. He began work as a software engineer on Diddy Kong Racing before taking on the lead engineer duties for his following projects Starfox Adventures and Kameo: Elements of Power. Phil’s passion for perfecting gameplay led to him taking a company-wide position as Director of Gameplay for Rare in 2009. Following the completion of Kinect Sports, Phil left Rare to start Nyamyam with the dream of creating beautifully crafted and unique gaming experiences.
